WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS
Firstly, we strive to raise top quality Micro Poodle puppies on fully vet check weekly. Let us introduce ourselves to you. I am Garry and Melisa Clayton (happily married for 21 years). Raised only a few miles from each other, we had no idea that the other existed until I noticed Melisa Connie in church one Sunday afternoon. Thirty years later, after raising a family, building a farm, and paying the bills (the American dream really), we found ourselves approaching the “empty nest”, part of our lives. Our boys grew up.
Samuel married our beautiful daughter-in-law, Clark, who now have four children of their own.
Daniel married Susan, another beautiful daughter-in-law. Both Samuel and Clark are involved in the sales and management here at Puppies By Design.
Kelvin, our youngest son, juggles helping us on the farm and getting a degree for Physical Therapy.
Our Lifestyle Raising
It’s been said that opposites attract. No truer statement can be said about us. I love fast boats, motocross, hockey, and anything else that my body will still let me do. (Thirty-three broken bones and counting.) Melisa, on the other hand, enjoys baking, reading, and home improvement projects. The reality of how opposite we are didn’t really set in until our busy lives of raising the boys slowed down. That’s where raising puppies came to our rescue. Dogs have always been part of our lives and raising puppies have been some of our fondest memories. It’s something that we both really enjoy and can do together.
Our goal is to provide healthy, loving puppies to wonderful, responsible families. We believe each person in America, UK, EU, Canada, Asia and etc has a right to own a dog as a companion at a reasonable cost and enjoy their company as much as we do! We will continue to raise puppies for responsible owners of a dog.
If you ever find you can no longer keep the dog you bought from us, for any reason, please contact us. We will be glad to take it back and raise it on the farm or find a loving adoptive family for your dog.

Lifespan
15-20 years normally. If healthy, this is a long lived breed, living between 15 and 20 years if taken care of well.
This size of poodle was known to exist at least 500 years ago. During the 17th and 18th centuries the poodle became a favorite with the nobility. They wanted dogs smaller than the Miniature variety, and so the Toy Poodle was developed. Today the Micro Poodle puppies is exclusively a companion and lap dog.
Intelligence
Micro Poodle puppies are extremely intelligent and eager to please dog, thus he/she is inordinately easy to train. As a result, the Poodle has a history of performance, appearing in circus and street acts for hundreds of years. Poodles are unusually sensitive to vocal intonation, probably one of the reasons they are so easy to train. Many pet owners, using gentle and consistent training methods, have seen their poodles excel in obedience trials, flyball, and agility.
